Terms of Service

RRL Finder provides tools for discovering scholarly literature, organizing research, collaborating in workspaces, and generating AI-assisted research outputs. You must use the service lawfully, provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and be legally able to accept these terms.

You may not disrupt or probe the service without authorization, bypass access or usage limits, misuse another person’s account or content, upload malicious code, infringe others’ rights, or use the service in a way that violates applicable law or provider requirements.

You retain whatever rights you have in the content you submit. You give RRL Finder permission to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content as reasonably necessary to provide the features you request, secure the service, and maintain your workspace. This permission ends when the content is deleted or the account is closed, except for copies retained in backups or as required for legal, security, and operational purposes.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit, store, share, and process your content, including through providers used by the features you choose. In shared projects, members may access content according to the project’s membership and permissions. Do not place confidential or regulated information in a shared workspace unless you are authorized to do so.

Search results, paper metadata, full-text availability, citations, summaries, classifications, and other AI-generated content are provided as research assistance. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, or out of date. AI output can contain errors and may not reflect the full paper or the state of scientific knowledge.

You must independently verify sources, quotations, citations, claims, permissions, and conclusions before relying on or publishing them. RRL Finder does not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice, and the service does not replace expert judgment or institutional research requirements.

Scholarly metadata and linked materials may be supplied by third parties and remain subject to their own terms, licenses, and availability. We do not claim ownership of third-party materials.

You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or restrict an account when reasonably necessary to protect the service, other users, or comply with law. Contact support if you believe your account was accessed without permission.

Paid features, prices, billing periods, usage limits, and cancellation options are shown at checkout or in your account. Paddle processes payments and may apply its own terms and privacy notice. Subscription cancellation takes effect as shown in your billing settings; any refund rights required by law remain unaffected.

We work to keep RRL Finder available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features, supported providers, limits, or pricing may change. We may suspend or discontinue all or part of the service where needed for maintenance, security, legal reasons, or product changes. We will provide notice when required by law.

RRL Finder and its original software, branding, and interface are owned by or licensed to the service operator and are protected by applicable laws. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service for its intended purpose. No other rights are transferred to you.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not warrant that research results are accurate, complete, suitable for a particular purpose, or that the service will always be available or secure.

To the extent permitted by law, RRL Finder will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or loss of data, profits, or opportunity arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits rights that applicable law makes non-waivable.

You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion under our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, unlawful use, security risk, or where we discontinue the service, subject to applicable law. Terms updates will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms only to the extent permitted by law.

Mandatory consumer and data protection laws applicable to you continue to apply. These terms do not choose a governing law or require arbitration. Any dispute will be handled by a court or other forum with jurisdiction under applicable law.
